What is RocketBPM?
RocketBPM is a human-centric Process Experience Platform for process management. The gap
Process management often stays where only experts work with it. But processes affect everyone.
Processes get documented, but rarely become part of everyday work. Models may be technically correct, yet still too complex for the people who need to understand and use them.
Too much distance
Process knowledge is often limited to expert teams instead of becoming accessible to the whole organization.
Low involvement
People are expected to work according to processes they were barely involved in developing.
Documentation without adoption
Repositories fill up with diagrams, while the real work happens somewhere else.
The approach
A human-centric BPM platform for shared understanding
RocketBPM makes processes visible, understandable and discussable. Teams can map how work gets done, clarify responsibilities and turn process knowledge into continuous improvement.
Co-create
Map processes together in a language everyone understands.
Understand
Make visible how work really gets done across roles, teams and responsibilities.
Own
Make process ownership and responsibilities visible to everyone involved.
Improve
Use shared understanding as the basis for better decisions and continuous improvement.
The core idea
Not just process documentation. RocketBPM is designed to create process experiences — something people understand, accept and use in real work.
Swimlane. The drill-down into a single process — roles, activities and decisions in lanes people can read without training.
What you can do
Understand, share and improve processes in a human-centric way
From a first process map to a process-driven organization — RocketBPM helps build a shared process understanding, step by step.
-
Create process maps
Build clear, easy-to-understand process landscapes right in the editor — no folder structures, manual linking or tedious maintenance.
-
Model intuitively
Create swimlane models without training — with a clear grid and exactly the elements you really need.
-
Reach relevant processes faster
Save important processes as favorites and open them straight from your personal start page — so process knowledge is within reach, with no detours.
-
Contacts right at the process
Every process shows the responsible process management roles with photo and contact details — so it is immediately clear who to reach out to.
-
More than time, cost and quality
The Energy Meter shows how work feels for people: which activities give energy, and which drain it? This makes the human experience part of process management.
-
Anchor process ownership in everyday work
Process owners, process architects and process managers keep the processes they are responsible for in view at all times — an important step toward a process-driven organization.
Inside the product
The software behind the Process Experience
-
Process architecture built automatically
Process maps and swimlane models naturally grow into a connected process world — without having to laboriously file and link models to each other.
-
Manage versions with confidence
Every change automatically creates a new version. Earlier states can be restored at any time, while published processes stay reliably available.
-
Approval with clear responsibility
Process models are approved by the process owner and published at the desired time. Editorial changes can also be published directly when needed.
-
International by design
Processes do not stop at national borders. RocketBPM supports nine languages and lets you easily export process content, have it translated and import it again.

Process experience over complex notation
Different purposes. Complementary strengths.
RocketBPM does not replace BPMN. The New Process Notation serves a different purpose: process experience. It helps people understand, discuss and shape their process together.
The New Process Notation creates an easily understandable, shared picture of processes at the business level. When individual processes call for deeper analysis or automation, they can be transferred to BPMN 2.0 and processed further there.
The methodological foundation
Human-centric BPM as the foundation
RocketBPM translates the human-centric principles of New Process into software. The New Process Notation helps people understand, discuss and evolve processes together.
- New Process The human-centric BPM approach as the methodological foundation.
- New Process Notation The modeling approach for process experience.
- RocketBPM The software that makes the approach usable and tangible in practice.
Our principles
Designed around all employees, not just experts
Processes should be understandable and usable for the people who work with them — regardless of their process management knowledge.
People at the center
Roles, activities and decisions set the structure — exactly the elements of a process that are relevant and understandable to people.
Built from 20+ years of BPM practice
From process management to New Process — and to RocketBPM
"Across 20+ years of process management, transformation projects, tool evaluations and exchange with practitioners, academia and research, one thing became increasingly clear to me: process management only works when the people in the process can understand it, shape it and use it. That led to New Process — and to RocketBPM, the software that brings this human-centric approach into practice."

Frequently asked questions about RocketBPM
What is RocketBPM?
RocketBPM is a human-centric Process Experience Platform. It makes processes visible, understandable and discussable: teams map how work gets done together, clarify responsibilities and turn process knowledge into continuous improvement.
Who is RocketBPM for?
For organizations of any size and industry, from a first step into process management to actively managing established processes. Typical roles are process management teams, process owners, quality management, operational excellence, transformation and organizational development, and executives.
Does RocketBPM replace BPMN?
No. BPMN 2.0 is suited to detailed, formal modeling, for example for analysis and automation. RocketBPM uses the reduced New Process Notation with roles, activities, decisions and clear connections, so that as many people as possible can understand and help shape processes. When individual processes call for deeper analysis or automation, they can be transferred to BPMN 2.0 and processed further there.
What can I do with RocketBPM?
Process maps (Process World) and swimlane models without training, favorites and a personal start page, contacts right at the process, the Energy Meter (how work feels for people), automatic versioning, approval by process owners, and nine languages with export and import for translation.
Where is RocketBPM hosted, and how is data protection handled?
RocketBPM runs on infrastructure in Berlin, so in Germany and within the European Union. It is developed with the requirements of European organizations and the protection of personal data in mind. Sign-in works with email and password or via Google or Microsoft 365, and two-factor authentication can be enabled in addition. Access to each Process World is limited to explicitly authorized users.
How do I get access?
Use “Get access”: your name and email address are enough. You then receive the sign-up link, and the Private Preview is personally supported.
How much does RocketBPM cost?
RocketBPM is free to use during the Private Preview. After the Private Preview, small Process Worlds with a limited number of users will remain free. For larger Process Worlds, pricing will be based on the number of users authorized to access each Process World. We will announce the free user limit and pricing well before the Private Preview ends.
